The sole purpose behind this command was to provide a very fast solution for customers in critical situations. But this functionality should be available for well-trained SAP Support experts only. Misuse of this functionality can cause various inconsistencies in tables. This was a main concern in customer authorization settings, as this can changes/edit/enter direct table entries in transaction SE16N
Therefore this special function; “&SAP_EDIT” was protected in the system by the highest developer authorization that could be assigned.
